I have been involved in Real Estate both as an agent and an investor in Los Angeles for over 12 years! I own a property in an area in Rent Control Los Angeles that was considered unsafe only some years ago. Now its cool, trendy and hip… And EXPENSIVE!
Some areas like Boyle Heights, Inglewood, South Central, Watts, Compton and had the same perception by many of being unsafe but that will all change and I will do this as i explain gentrification and whats happening to these communities.
An unfortunate thing is happening now with the forced closures of businesses and that is that it will greatly impact minority driven communities and these communities will suffer due to no fault of their own. They are supported by the service industry and when they shut down the service industry, how can they make money? They can’t.
I am not saying that gentrification is good because well, its their home. What I am saying is that it will happen and my mission with this video is to educate first time home buyers so that they are open to new areas during this upcoming foreclosure crisis.
The last thing we need is a team of multi millionaires (100m+) and Billionaires coming in and buying all of the properties. So I hope this video was educational.
